Following concerns raised over dangerous Tik Tok Challenges, our school arranged for Durham Police to deliver an Internet Safety session to every child in Key Stage Two (Ruby, Emerald and Diamond). The session was really useful with children asking lots of sensible and relevant questions.
The session focussed on more recent social networking sites and platforms such as Tik Tok, Snapchat and Instagram and reinforced the concept of how children should keep themselves safe whilst online.
We have planned a Briefing session for parents on Monday 17th October at 2.30 in the school hall. This session will also be delivered by Durham Police and aims to ensure parents are kept up to date with developments and have the advice and support to ensure they can control or monitor their child’s online activity.
